If your vehicle has broken down or is stuck
These general steps help you stay safe while you wait. They are not legal advice; follow local traffic rules and any police instructions.
- Move the vehicle out of traffic only if it is safe to do so.
- Switch on your hazard lights.
- Wait somewhere safe, away from moving traffic, and keep your phone on.
- Contact AST with your location and vehicle details.
If you are in danger, contact the emergency services first.

What we need from you
- Where the vehicle is. A WhatsApp location pin, or the nearest landmark.
- The vehicle. Make, model and type (saloon, SUV, low car).
- What happened. Won’t start, flat tyre, stuck or something else.
- Access. Basement parking, tight spaces or soft ground change what is possible.
- Where it needs to go. A garage or another address, if it must be moved.
- Photos and a contact name. One of the vehicle and one of the surroundings help.

Breakdown questions
What if I am on a busy road?
Put safety first: hazard lights on, stay away from moving traffic and share your exact location. If you are in danger, call the emergency services.
What if I do not know exactly where I am?
Send a WhatsApp location pin. If that is not possible, give the nearest landmark, road or exit.
